African waterhole cam

Think I had too much ice cream….

Need to clean kitchen and turn in early with a book. You can see lots of animals. I saw the hippo almost every evening since I discovered this cam a week ago. And I thought what a paradise this is, compared with what our poor Billy and his friend have now This place must be about 3km away from the Djuma waterhole , as far as I could see on a map. Pilanesberg is home to the big on top of which you can see anything from zebras to giraffes and various species of antelopes.


Believe it or not, but recently even wild dogs were spotted on the waterhole camera. Djuma is one of the original LIVE waterhole cameras that started over years ago.

Located near the Mpala Research Centre in Kenya, this live Safari camera pans across a river where you may see elephants, lions, monkeys and other animals. The waterhole is adjacent to the main lodge. The Djuma Waterhole camera has been experiencing sound problems recently. TV crew on the ground has managed to get to the site of the camera and assess the situation. A longer ladder is needed to get to the camera housing to check the status of the mic and do the necessary cleaning of the lens.


During the rainy season, animals find water sources more easily, as rivulets, streams and lush plant life spread across their prideland. But during the dry season, after the rains have passe the call of the waterhole and its promise of refreshment lures them out. Located on the western side of the Kruger National Park, this 0ha private reserve is part of the Greater Kruger National Park, which also includes the Associated Private Nature Reserves. Situated in the busiest elephant corridor that joins the Chobe National Park and the Hwange National Park, Camp Kuzuma is a private and exclusive safari lodge situated in the pristine Kazuma Forest reserve in the Chobe region of Botswana.


Having put the first webcam that ever went live from the bush. It is nighttime now but you can still see a few things like bright flying moths. The new camera, set up by WildEarth, is a streaming camera operated by ‘zoomies’ based in various countries who move the camera around throughout the day in search of wildlife at the waterhole. They are almost on the equator and the days and nights remain about equally divided year round. Early in the evening there is some form of lighting on the near pon and a small light is always visible on the viewing platform in the background.

Just watched something swim by in the Olifant river cam. To me, a safari is the ultimate trip besides flying around the world. Some of the camps in the park offer the unique experience of floodlit waterholes for night-time viewing. Etosha National Park boasts numerous waterholes , including both natural springs and fountains and others fed by man-made bore holes. His teacher gave him the address of this website which is a webcam at a waterhole in Botswana.


He loves watching it and seeing the animals. Check later in the day - after school is a good time. A Hippo was grazing around the waterhole for a while then moved on.
