Which muscle should I exercise with legs? The majority of muscles in the leg are considered long muscles , in that they stretch great distances. What causes right thigh pain? As these muscles contract and relax, they move skeletal bones to create movement of the body.


The thigh has three sets of strong muscles : the hamstring muscles in the back of the thigh, the quadriceps muscles in the front, and the adductor muscles on the inside.
